Ya know, its hard for me to accept sometimes, but the truth is, we create our own reality. Ive spent the last 10 years single. THe benefits arethat I dont have to do things I dont want, I can live according to my own rhythm, I eat standing up or on the run and dont need to cook- ever, if I dont want, if my whites get ruined, its my own fault, I can flirt and date and stay out late.....there are down sides too...Ive gotta do all the household stuff by myself, make all the $ to pay the bills, I dont have anyone to talk to about those tender things (girlfriends are great, but its no replacement for having a companion, I miss touching and intimacy.

but the "reason" Im single, is because I dont want to "settle" for less than what I want in a relationship. Im not expecting perfection, just connection, compatability and sharing a common or simpatico spiritual path, no addictions, self responsibility....and, well, I havent found it yet.

I'm amazed at how hypnotized so many people are now days. I have been planning my escape from urban madness to a small farm in a Midwest or Southern U.S. state. I even ended my old career and became a truck driver ... touring the countryside and earning a good living. I'm reading up on permaculture, horticulture, organic farming, et al...

And behold ... every woman I see has her eyes tied to the same old carrot-and-a-stick that Corporate America continues to dangle in front of us despite more off-shore hiring, more downsizing, rumors of recession and even a Global Recession ... even a global water shortage some time before 2014. Economic racism, incresing crime, more police and government scruntiny and controls, higher fuel and utility costs ... and they STILL want to live in the same urban areas where the quality of life continues to decline.

Are others experiencing the same dynamic in other parts of the world or other areas of The States?

Are Desires 4 Love Affected by the World's Future?

I guess what I'm asking is ... do you "believe" in the upcoming Global Recession and/or the "upcoming" World Recession?

If so, do they affect where you want to live ... and how you want to live?

I've lived most of my life in cities. Stick a fork in me 'cause I'm done. I dream of a small farm, and raising the kind of food I KNOW is healthy. This has a drastic affect on my relationship choices because I'm still in an urban enviornment. There aren't that many "city girls" that want to live rural. ("ooooh ... all those bugs!" ) And if they did, not many who want to adjust to the lifestyle changes needed to make it work.

What are some of your feelings?

Is there anyone else thinking along these lines?

If you're stuck on survival -ie. the 1st Chakra- there's no
hope of thriving on the next level.

When you're pre-occupied about how your going to make
the rent by the end of the month, and keep your electricity
or phone on, it's naturally inevitable to fall short on your creative
interests.

Priorities are priorities after all, and there's simply no way
around the facts of life.

Think about how often you've been distracted from being
truly present with your partner, much less romantic, because
you're sweating over some bill.

How often have you felt self-conscious because you're in
a lower income bracket than your peers, or afraid to unimpress
some cutie you'd like to engage?

A key word here is Security.

There's a reason Mind/Body is used together -like two sides of
the same coin. That's because they are. If you feel emotionally
depressed, you get physically depleted, and vice-versa.

If you're not feeling financially secure, be assured you'll find you're
not feeling very secure on other levels.

How can you be giving, sexually, financially, or emotionally, if you're
in a perpetual state of desperation, which makes one selfish by necessity?

The saddest part though about this dynamic is that no one wants to see
the truth of this. No one wants to see themself as unable to give as much
energetically or otherwise as their peers and loved ones. Thus they end
up acting out their insecurity unconsciously only to discover growing
alienation in their relationships -and with themselves.

Have you ever noticed someone acting out as "poor me"? Ever notice
what their income and/or relationship to money is? There's a hint.

So just cut it out. *Choose* to not be stuck in survival.
You're not serving yourself or anyone else by being poor.
It's stale and boring. Who needs it?

Have you *ever* heard someone say, "I wish I didn't have so much money"?

Have you ever heard someone say "I have too much love in my life"?

Believe it or not, these two are intimately connected.
And if you work on one, you will inevitably find that the other takes shape in kind.

Part of love requires people skills, communication and self-awareness.
These are learnable things but they're not exactly courses in grade school.

Getting financially free is no different.

You wouldn't ask a miserable lonely person for love and relationship advice would you?

Well just the same, if you're looking to be financially free, you need to find someone
who's got that going on, and get some pointers.

Imagine what the quality of your relationships would be like if you weren't toasted
on your cashflow all the time.

Imagine the feeling of being free to do what you want whenever you want.
That'd feel pretty wonderful wouldn't it?

You know the saying, "misery loves company".

So if you're financially miserable, think about how your relationships would be.
Do you think anyone who was doing really well would want to stick around you long?

If you were trying not to smoke, would you keep hanging around smokers?

If you were alcoholic, would you hang around other alcoholics to stop being one?

Alright then, so just get real.

Stop denying that you're justifying your poor conditions and choose to change them.

Don't daydream about where you'd like to be financially. Create your desired financial
destination and then look squarely at how you're going to get there.

Find a mentor.

Find a vehicle that will get you there.

I think if you are single it is ok.We should never feel sorry for ourselfs.It is sometimes you can't just settle for anything less.If you are looking for someone in particular,then find that special person.There should never be a time when you should have someone,only to have someone.That person should make you feel happy all the time.I am single and I choose to be.I know some of us do not choose to be,but sometimes things happen and we must choose the path we are in.There should never be a looking back moment.Just face forward and keep walking.

I was with this man I loved for 3years,only to find out he was cheating on me the whole time.I just broke it off and never looked back.Maybe I deserved it,maybe I didn't.But, I held my head up high and walked away,never to look back again.I did not or do not regret anything.I know I gave that man everything and my all.I loved him so much and If he did what he did,that is his life.I just sit back in my chair and smile...I did in fact have some great moments,but that chapter had to end.Oh well,just laugh it off now.....=0)

Living together is for couples who do not want to commit strongly to each other. If you wish to marry, but your man proposes moving in together, then you should say, “Oh, sweetheart, I could only live together with my husband (or fiancé with a wedding date).”

You want to be so wonderful and feminine that you inspire your man to commit to you more and more. If, as a woman, you want marriage soon, do not allow the man to get you to commit strongly (by moving in) with his own strong commitment (to engagement and marriage).

hello, i am a footloose guy currently living close to the earth in Lightning Ridge Australia working with Opal, jewellery, and computers. When i complete my little straw bale studio in about 6 weeks i am headed for Patagonia ( Argentine side) to look for a small permaculture property, then Brasil to buy quartz and tourmaline in Teofilo Otoni at the gem show in August.

I will head off for the USA about september, buy a small RV and sell at the Quartsite show during the (northern hemisphere ) winter.

If you are intelligent and travelled, maybe do some goldsmithing or lapidary work, and have a love of sustainable practices.

I am 49 years old, born in the USA, teenage years in London, a year in Guadeloupe teaching diving with Club Med, a year in Paris, a year in LA, four years in Java. the Oz since 1983 wher i have been pursuing permaculture development of a small farm in the hills above Cairns.

I like doing something about the situation the world finds itself in, and would like a friend, lover, and companion to share the journey with.

Men should get free listings on dating sites

Ok, let's check this out.
Traditionally, and well, pretty much all the time, the guy pays for the date he goes on. To be a "gentleman". Ok, so an active guy dater on a dating site meets several women (if he's lucky) and goes on say 4 dates a month.

So, ball park an average date at 100 bucks that's 400 a month at just four and then he has to PAY a dating site 20-30 bucks a month just to do that.

I think it's really unfair and guys should get a break on the costs or even get it free.

What about a site that give the guy TWICE the time for the same payment (ie 2 months for a one month cost).

Would that help out?

How much are you spending in your dating life a month?

How to show that you really love somebody,that you have real feelings about him when he cant see you,he never see you???
i am only scearing often myself because everything i say or done can be understand wrong as often happened!!
How to show that this is real all real,my love , me ,he
I want he beliave me !How to do that on right way??????
I dont know that i always make mistakes!!

On Christmas Eve, I met someone new. We hit it off. We are a blast together. He told me that he was seeing someone, but they were on the verge of a breakup, she was confused.

A week later he says they are not together....so we hang out for New Years. Today he says she wants to be with him.... he doesn't know what he wants.

What happened? Why? What should I do?
